Founder and guiding force behind Communications Solutions, Kelly is a seasoned Assistive Technology Specialist with over 24 years dedicated to special education. Over the years, she has augmented her expertise with certificates from diverse workshops, each enriching her knowledge of varied AT forms. More than just a successful entrepreneur, Kelly's commitment to ensuring that every child has the technological tools to thrive in the classroom emanates from a deep-rooted personal passion. Her compassionate approach and unwavering dedication have been instrumental in driving the mission of Communications Solutions.
Mary Bergman
Mary, a distinguished licensed Speech-Language Pathologist, collaborates closely with Kelly, playing a pivotal role in conducting AAC assessments. With a rich educational background, including a master's degree from Fresno State University and training in TEACH, Lindamood-Bell, and PECS, Mary boasts an impressive tenure of over 50 years in the field. Her vast experience includes serving as a Speech-Language Pathologist for the LA County Office of Education. Now, in her semi-retirement phase, she dedicates her expertise part-time to Communications Solutions, deriving immense satisfaction from aiding children in unlocking their speech potential through AAC.
Ashleigh Murtha
A dynamic Assistive Technology Specialist, Ashleigh Murtha is a proud alumnus of California State University, Northridge, holding both a certification in Assistive Technology applications and a Bachelor's degree in Communicative Disorders and Sciences. Fueled by a deep-seated passion, she aspires to further her studies with a Master's degree in Communicative Disorders, dreaming of becoming a specialized Speech-Language Pathologist with a focus on Assistive Technology. In her current role, Ashleigh synergizes with both Mary and Kelly, playing a hands-on role in pinpointing the apt technological tools for students. She dedicates ample time to one-on-one and group training sessions, ensuring students harness the full potential of the tools at their disposal.
